The Puisaye and its surroundings are
rich in delicious products :
Goat cheeses, honey, cider, walnut oil,
sweet chestnuts, foie gras (duck/goose liver) cherries, organic
vegetables to find in browsing local markets (Saint Sauveur,
Saint Amand, Saint Fargeau, Toucy..), and of course well known
wines, (Chablis, Sancerre, Epineuil, Pouilly…) and the most
delicious (Saint Bris, Irancy, Coulanges, Chitry…).
You should taste the different specialities,
gougeres, strawberry, tarte au fras, mentioned on numerous
occasions in Colette’s books.
